Gelgia Fetz Fernandes holds a graduate degree from Zurich University where she studied Social Anthropology, Media Studies, and International Relations focusing on the Middle East. She is a trained journalist and has worked as newspaper editor, covering events and news stories national and international in scope. Since 2007, Gelgia Fetz Fernandes has been a Program Manager at the Jacobs Foundation running the Klaus J. Jacobs Research Prize and the Young Scholar Programs. In April 2020, she assumed a Program Lead role at the Jacobs Foundation.
