Alina Botezat is a researcher at the Romanian Academy, Iasi Branch, in Romania. The subjects of her research include migration and its impact on the children who are left behind, educational gaps in secondary school, and the well-being of children. In her work, she employs the latest statistical and econometric methods in an effort to identify causal effects. Since 2013, she has been a fellow of the College for Interdisciplinary Educational Research (CIDER).
