Daphne Martschenko is a research specialist at the University of Chicago and recently completed her PhD in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. She uses mixed-methods research to explore the social and ethical implications of social science genomics for the American education system, focusing on teachers’ understandings of the role and relevance of genetics for education. Daphne advocates for and facilitates cross-disciplinary research efforts that promote socially responsible communication of social science genomics research findings.
