Elisabeth Knight is a PhD researcher in Psychology at the University of Sheffield. She is a qualified primary school teacher and spent fourteen years teaching before earning an MSc in Developmental Psychology and beginning her PhD. Elisabeth’s current research focuses on how sensorimotor modalities such as gesture and sign interact with working memory and learning throughout development. She would like to see cognitive research reflected more fully in educational practice.
