Karen Brown is a Massachusetts-based writer and public radio reporter who specializes in health and mental health issues. She has contributed to NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other outlets. The effects of stress and experience on the brain have long fascinated her and formed the basis of her 2014 radio documentary, “Life After Stress: The Biology of Trauma and Resilience.” She was an MIT-Knight Fellow in Science Journalism and an Ochberg Fellow with the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma.
