Marjorie Rhodes is the director of the Conceptual Development and Social Cognition Lab at New York University, where she studies early cognitive and social development. Her work relies on experimental, longitudinal, and cross-cultural methods with young children to reveal the basic conceptual processes and social learning mechanisms that give rise to children’s understanding of the social world. Rhodes’ research is supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the McDonnell Foundation.
