Niko Steinbeis
Assistant professor of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, University of Leiden

Niko Steinbeis is an assistant professor of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Leiden and a principal investigator at the Brain and Development Research Centre. Steinbeis studies how interventions can be used to a) understand underlying functional mechanisms of higher-level socio-affective behaviours, b) address questions about sensitive periods in development and c) improve children’s lives in meaningful ways. Steinbeis is a 2016­-2018 Jacobs Foundation Research Fellow.
