Nora Marketos was the Co-Lead of Learning Schools at the Jacobs Foundation. As part of the leadership team, she developed the portfolio focusing on learning in school contexts, putting evidence at the forefront of school development processes and EdTech solutions. She was also instrumental in setting up the foundation’s TRECC program in Côte d’Ivoire, working closely with the private sector, the Ministry of Education, and implementation partners to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes in rural areas.

Nora studied Social Anthropology, Arabic Literature and Language Science, and Political Science at the University of Zurich (MA) and International Cooperation at ETH Zürich (MAS), and recently received her EMBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, headquartered in Washington, DC. She has worked for the UN in Syria and NYC, for bilateral agencies such as the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and Irish Aid in Uganda, and for NGOs before joining the Jacobs Foundation in 2014. Nora is now a freelance consultant in the areas of strategy advice, project management and impact evaluation.
