Nora Turoman is a PhD student in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Lausanne (UniL), Switzerland. She is conducting her PhD research at the Lausanne University Hospital Centre (CHUV), investigating how the mechanisms that control attention to visual and multisensory objects develop over the course of primary education. Her study is also examining the links between such attentional mechanisms and educational skill attainment, specifically literacy and numeracy. While Nora’s current research focuses on typically developing populations, in future she would like to expand this focus to include populations with disorders such as dyslexia and dyscalculia.
