Rana Dajani
Molecular Biologist and Professor at Hashemite University, Jordan

Rana Dajani is a molecular biologist and professor at Hashemite University, Jordan, as well as the former director of the university’s Center of Studies. She has been a visiting professor at Yale and Cambridge Universities. Dajani is also a Fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, an Ashoka Fellow, and a former Fulbright Scholar and Eisenhower Fellow. She developed a community-based model called “We Love Reading” that encourages children to read for pleasure.

Rana Dajani is one of the ten recipients of the 2018 Klaus J. Jacobs Awards, which are bestowed to social innovators and change makers in the field of child and youth development.
