Julia Gorges is an educational researcher at Bielefeld University, Germany. Her primary research aims at understanding motivation to learn from a life course perspective, thereby linking educational psychology to adult and further education research. She is also interested in teacher professional development. She is the principal investigator of the third-party funded research projects Bielefeld Training on Cooperation in inclusive Schools and Value and Competence Beliefs in Adulthood. Julia Gorges was a fellow of the first cohort of the International College of Interdisciplinary Educational Research (CIDER) from 2013 to 2016.
