Sabrina Guye, a researcher in the University Research Priority Program, Dynamics of Healthy Aging, at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, looks at how the brain changes and adapts as a consequence of what we do in our daily lives. She contends that if we know what kinds of activities are beneficial for the brain and cognition, we might be able to design targeted interventions to promote cognitive functioning throughout the lifespan.
